Ο Λουδοβίκος Ιωάννου Νικολαΐδης ήταν υποπρόξενος των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών στην Αθήνα, την περίοδο που διατελούσε χρέη προξένου ο Daniel E. Macginley (1898-1902;).
Είχε διοριστεί πληρεξούσιος και διαχειριστής των υποθέσεων της Domestic and Foreign Missionary Society of the Protestant Episcopal Church in the United States, που διατηρούσε σχολείο της Ιεραποστολής στην Αθήνα, με πρώτο διευθυντή τον J. H. Hill.
