Biographical history
Πρόκριτος της Ύδρας, ναυμάχος της Ελληνικής Επανάστασης και αρμοστής της Κρήτης. Αν και αρχικά αντιτάχθηκε στον ξεσηκωμό της Ύδρας στη συνέχεια έλαβε ενεργό ρόλο στον ναυτικό αγώνα. Το 1823 διορίστηκε αρμοστής Κρήτης. Αργότερα επιστρέφοντας στην Ύδρα πήρε μέρος στην επιχείρηση των Ψαρών και στη ναυμαχία του Γέροντα. Επί Καποδίστρια διορίστηκε διευθυντής ναυτικών υποθέσεων, εκλέχθηκε πληρεξούσιος στην Δ΄ Εθνοσυνέλευση και γερουσιαστής.
