Biographical history
Ο Fred Boissonnas γεννήθηκε στη Γενεύη. Είναι ιδιαίτερα γνωστός για τη φωτογραφική τεχνική του αλλά και την εκτεταμένη φωτογράφιση του ελληνικού χώρου επί τριάντα περίπου έτη, μαζί με τον συνοδοιπόρο του Daniel Baud-Bovy, πρύτανη της Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών της Γενεύης. Το έργο του, σε ό,τι αφορά την Ελλάδα θεωρείται εν γένει πρωτοποριακό, αλλά και καθοριστικό για την εξέλιξη της ελληνικής φωτογραφίας κατά τον 20ό αιώνα.
